FlashGet (formerly JetCar) is specifically designed to address two of the biggest problems when downloading files: Speed and management of downloaded files. If you’ve ever waited forever for your files to download from a slow connection, or been cut off mid-way through a download - or just can’t keep track of your ever-growing downloads - FlashGet is for you. FlashGet can split downloaded files into sections, downloading each section simultaneously, for an increase in downloading speed from 100% to 500%. This, coupled with FlashGet’s powerful and easy-to-use management features, helps you take control of your downloads like never before.
FlashGet displays download progress in ranks of glittering dots, but its acceleration is not as pronounced as most. Its inability to start a download without confirmation makes for slow starts. We ran into difficulty locating configuration settings, a problem aggravated by a help system that apparently belongs to an earlier version. Nonetheless, the software managed and categorized our sample downloads efficiently. FlashGet supports over 30 languages!

Ottimo sistema operativo base Linux.
The Fedora Project is an openly-developed project designed and sponsored by Red Hat and guided by the contributors, open for general participation, led by a meritocracy, following a set of project objectives. The goal of The Fedora Project is to work with the Linux community to build a complete, general purpose operating system exclusively from open source software. Development will be done in a public forum. The Red Hat engineering team will continue to participate in building Fedora Core and will invite and encourage more outside participation than in past releases. By using this more open process, we hope to provide an operating system more in line with the ideals of free software and more appealing to the open source community.
The operating system is Fedora Core. It comes out twice a year or so. It’s completely free, and we’re committed to keeping it that way. It’s the best combination of robust and latest software that exists in the free software world.
Features of Fedora Core 6:
- There is a completely revamped appearance with a bubbly new theme and the first use of the new Fedora logo.
- Early work from the Fedora Rendering Project is integrated into the desktop. This new project (http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/RenderingProject) is going to provide the technical foundations for advanced desktop interfaces based on OpenGL.
- Popular desktop environments GNOME and KDE have innovative new versions included in this release. The GNOME desktop is based on the 2.14 release (http://www.gnome.org/~davyd/gnome-2-14/), and the KDE 3.5 desktop is the general 3.5 release (http://kde.org/announcements/announce-3.5.php).
- The latest versions of GNOME Power Manager (http://www.gnome.org/projects/gnome-power-manager/) and GNOME Screensaver(http://live.gnome.org/GnomeScreensaver/) provide new and integrated power management capabilities.
- The new GNOME User Share facility provides simple and efficient file sharing. - Suspend to RAM support has also been improved due to infrastructure work done by the hibernate support.
- The previous graphical software management utilities have been replaced with the first versions of a new generation of tools. This release includes Pup, a simple interface for system updates, and Pirut, a new package manager that replaces system-config-packages. These build on the yum utility, to provide consistent software installation and update facilities throughout the system.
- This release of Fedora includes Mono support for the first time, and Mono applications such as Beagle, a desktop search interface; F-Spot, a photo management utility; and Tomboy, a note-taking application.
- You can now enjoy enhanced multimedia support with version 0.10 of the Gstreamer media framework. This milestone release brings major improvements in robustness, compatibility, and features, over previous versions of Gstreamer. The Totem movie player and other media software in this release have been updated to use the new framework.
- There is dramatically improved internationalization support with SCIM in Fedora Core 5. The SCIM language input framework provides an easy to use interface for inputting many different non-English languages. SCIM replaces the IIIMF system used in previous Fedora releases.
- The default Web browser is Firefox 1.5 (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/releases/1.5.html), which has many new features for faster, safer, and more efficient browsing.
- The office applications suite OpenOffice.org 2.0 (http://www.openoffice.org/product/index.html) now makes better use of general system libraries for increased performance and efficiency.
- A large number of GTK and GNOME programs take advantage of the Cairo 2D graphics library (http://cairographics.org/), included in this release, to provide streamlined attractive graphical interfaces. - There are new experimental drivers that provide support for the widely-used Broadcom 43xx wireless chipsets (http://bcm43xx.berlios.de/). - This release includes libnotify, a library that features simple and attractive notifications for the desktop. - Fedora Core 5 now uses gnome-mount, a more efficient mechanism that replaces fstab-sync, and uses HAL to handle mounting. - Printing support is improved in this release with the inclusion of the hplip utility, which replaces hpijs.

What’s New in Fedora Core 6:
Desktop
There are a variety of additions to Fedora Core 6 that interesting to desktop users, including:
- A new theme is introduced, courtesy of the Fedora Artwork Project. - The system’s default font is now DejaVu, which increases Fedora’s support for many languages that use the Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic alphabets. - The Compiz window manager provides better visual feedback and a variety of desktop effects, using the AIGLX framework. More information is available from the Fedora Rendering Project. - Enhancements in package management by way of pirut and yum-updatesd, which combine to provide a notification applet, alerting the user when there is updated software available. - A rewritten system-config-printer tool, which has several new features. Devices are detected on-demand as necessary, and support for per-user queues is available, so users can customize their printer settings without having to modify system-wide configurations. Additional technical details are available here and here. - GNOME 2.16 and KDE 3.5.4, as well as the latest upstream versions of many standard open source applications, such as Firefox and OpenOffice.org. - Fedora Core 6 includes Dogtail, which provides a graphical test and automation framework. - Totem has replaced Helix Player as the default media player in Fedora Core 6.
Performance
- All Fedora Core applications have been rebuilt using `DT_GNU_HASH`, which provides a significant performance boost during start-up for applications using dynamic linking.
- This release improves package management and dependency solving by making dependencies as modular as possible. Packages rebuilt in this manner include beagle, evince, gnome-utils, and NetworkManager. More information is here.
- The performance of the Fedora’s default ext3 filesystem has been boosted in recent versions of the 2.6 Linux kernel.
System Administration
- Arguably the most useful new feature in Fedora Core 6 are the improvements that have been made to Anaconda, the Fedora installer. At install-time, the user can specify third-party repositories, and if the install is network-aware, Fedora can reach out to those repositories and pull in additional packages. The obvious use case is accessing Fedora Extras, marking Fedora Core 6 as the release that tightens the integration between Core and Extras at install-time.
- IPv6 is supported in Anaconda.
- A graphical virtualization manager is included to simplify the creation and management of virtualized systems.
- SELinux is enhanced by means of a graphical troubleshooting tool and enhancements to the Nautilus file manager. - Fedora now features integrated smart card capabilities, for secure authentication out of the box using the new Cool Key system. - This release introduces a new tool, lvm2-cluster, for intuitively managing cluster volumes.
System Level Changes
- Fedora Core 6 ships with the 2.6.18 Linux kernel, and there are no longer separate kernels for multi-processor and single-processor architectures. A single kernel now automatically detects your processor.
- X.org 7.1 is included, and it dynamically configures monitor resolution and refresh rates to limit the amount of required user configuration. - Fedora Core 6 runs on Intel-based Macs.
- Improved i18n support using the default SCIM input method, including more languages such as Sinhalase (Sri Lanka) and Oriya, Kannada, and Malayalam (India). Fedora Core now provides an easy interface to switch the input methods using im-chooser.
- The GNOME 1.x legacy stack has been removed from Fedora Core, and added to Fedora Extras. ‹ Select › |

Diablo II
Diablo II, sequel to the popular Diablo, is a dark fantasy-themed Action role-playing game in a hack and slash or "Dungeon Roaming" style. It was released for both M’zoft Windows and Mac OS in 2000 by Blizzard Entertainment. Diablo II was developed by Blizzard North.
By April 2001, Diablo II had become one of the most popular online games ever. Major factors that contributed to Diablo II’s success include what fans found to be addictive hack and slash gameplay and free access to Battle.net. Diablo II may be played as a single player game, multi-player via a LAN, or multi-player via Battle.net, with the latter being the most popular. It has also become the second best selling computer game and number one best selling RPG for the PC, selling over fifteen million copies.
The game was conceptualized and designed by Stieg Hedlund, with Blizzard North founders David Brevik, Max and Eric Shaefer acting as Project Leads for the other disciplines (Engineering, Character Art and Environment Art, respectively). The main Production roles were handled by Matthew Householder and Bill Roper.

Desakan pemerintah dan omongkosong!!!
Menarik apabila menyikapi desakan pemerintah agar komunitas open source Indonesia dapat lebih meningkatkan kualitasnya. “So, can we make it a business, not just a hobby?,” pertanyaan yang muncul dari Sofyan A. Djalil (Menkominfo) beberapa waktu setelah kasus MoU dengan Microsoft mencuat ke permukaan. ( Detikinet: Pemerintah Desak Peningkatan Mutu Open Source )

Peryataan Sikap PENGUIN MERAH

Goodluck!!!

Everything You Need To Know About The LockDown Hacker Tracker
The hacker Tracker can dig using the following information that you provide:
You will need to provide some of the information below:
IP Address : The IP address can be any valid IP numbers in the format of 216.41.21.2
Hostname : A valid hostname is any Internet hostname such as "harbortelco.com" or "dialup.241-34-32.nh.harbortelco.com". Use the whois server "whois.networksolutions.com" for any valid host name ending with .com, .net, .org, or .edu
Email Address : A valid email address is any real email address in the format of "username@hostname.com"
Web Page Address : A valid web page address is in the format of "www.domain.com".
The Hacker Tracker provides the following options to dig into the IP, Hostname, Email Address or web address that you have provided.
Ping Host : Ping is a utility that you use for checking if a certain computer is currently connected to the internet. At the prompt type in the IP address of the computer you would like to bounce a signal.
After hitting enter, the computer will return the number of milliseconds it took for the signal to come back. If you get no response then the computer is down, firewalled to reject ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol), or you are not connected. Ping is often used to verify your connection to the Internet. If you can ping a computer on the Internet then you, as well as they, are currently connected. Ping is also used to send packets to a host name to obtain the IP address it is using.
NS Lookup : This application is useful for gathering address information about hosts in the network. It is used to query the Internet domain name service (DNS) for specific information about hosts (mail exchanger records [MX]; IP address [A]; canonical names [CNAME]; etc.). If you have an IP address, you can get a canonical name back for the address. If you have a canonical name, you can get an IP address.
The LockDown Hacker Tracker will use nslookup on the IP to find a host name. It then performs a reverse lookup to make sure the DNS has not been configured to avoid traces. If the IP and hostname do not match, Hacker Tracker will traceroute and whois the new found information.
Trace Route : Traceroute will trace the route of data packets sent from your computer to an IP address on the Internet that you provided to the Hacker Tracker. As the packets travel, they will pass through other domains and Internet gateway machines. The final domain or IP "belongs" to the hacker or spammer. Before your data reaches the end of the trace it has to pass through the Internet Service Provider of the hacker or spammer and before that, the ISP of the ISP (the up-stream provider).
Thus, traceroute lets you find the ISP and if it is necessary their ISP and so on.
There are sometimes reasons why you should complain to the upstream provider.
1. When the service provider takes notice that you sent a carbon of the message to his provider, he will most likely take your complaint seriously. He should also respond more quickly. It is like complaining to the boss, and his district manager at the same time.
2. Please be aware that sometimes it can be the service provider or an employee who is doing the hacking. By making the second complaint you are making the ISP’s service provider aware. When such complaints are regularly sent, an ISP that condones hacking will not be in business much longer.
3. It will make you feel good knowing that you were thorough in helping this hacker get caught.
Host : Host looks for information about Internet hosts. It gets this information from a set of interconnected servers that are spread across the country. By default, it simply converts between host names and Internet addresses. However, it can be used to find all of the information about this host that is maintained by the domain server. This includes all other domains that are hosted by the top level domain along with what domain or ISP provides mail services. This helps in tracking down spammers.
Technically, every system that can receive mail is supposed to have an entry for who is providing mail services. If the system receives its own mail, there should be an entry that mentions the system itself, "XXX mail is handled by XXX". However some systems that receive their own mail do not bother to mention that fact. If a system has a "mail is handled by" entry, but no address, this indicates that it is not really part of the Internet, but a system that is on the network will forward mail to it. Systems on Usenet, Bitnet, and a number of other networks have entries of this kind.
Dig : Dig (domain information groper) is a flexible tool which can be used to gather information from the Domain Name System servers.
Find Owner Of IP : To Locate the owner of the IP address the Hacker Tracker will attempt a whois using the whois server ‘whois.arin.net’. This should always work, but sometimes arin will list the owner of the IP address as ripe.net or some other IP bank. In this case use a manual look up using the whois.ripe.net whois server.
Who Is : All Internet domains are registered through the world and added to different databases. If someone has registered a domain, their information can be found in one of these databases. This is like an Internet phone book that has names, addresses, and phone numbers for all Internet domains. This information is accessible through this whois database.
Who Is Uplink Provider : The Hacker Tracker will attempt to locate the uplink provider for you and whois the domain to provide you with all of the information needed to make a full complaint. If you are having problems with this please refer to the LockDown help files in the area "Locating The Hacker" found in the LockDown program.
LockDown is an ‘on the fly’ trojan and hacker detector which can be downloaded from http://www.lockdowncorp.com/
Finger On Host : Both finger on user and host can be run on Hacker Tracker. Finger displays the user’s login name, real name, terminal name and write status (as a "*" after the terminal name if write permission is denied), idle time, login time, office location and office phone number.
Mail status is shown as "No Mail" if there is no mail at all, You will see "Mail last read" and then provide the date and time. If the person has looked at their mailbox since new mail arriving, or you will see "New mail re-ceived …" and then Unread since …'’
Other options would be when this person last read his email, and if he is online right now.
The finger to the host will display all users online on the individual ISP machine right now.
Because so much information can be found out about online connections using finger, many ISP’s disable this service to provide more privacy for their users.
Find MAC Address : The MAC (Media Access Control) address is a unique 48-bit serial number that cannot be turned off or changed. It comes from a network card or dialup adapter. If the hacker has a network card, this serial number can be used to track the hacker right to his machine. Many cable Internet service providers keep a log of these MAC addresses and use them to control how many computers are being used on their service by each of their clients. To the hacker, this MAC address can be like having a monster cookie that is leaving his finger print everywhere he goes. If you log the MAC address be sure to send it to the hacker’s ISP. Seeing it is like having a copy of his finger print on file.
Find NetBIOS Information : If the hacker has networking installed, this NetBIOS information option will give you the "NetBIOS Name" of the offending computer and the "Login Name" of the user. This information can come in handy. The NetBIOS name, is the name that was used during the setup of the network. This is found in the Network Computer Name section under "identification". Many times people will use their real first and last name in this section without thinking. The "User Name" is the name that Windows prompts for each time they reboot their computer. Most times you can get a real first and last name from this information area.

Perintah, Tips, Script | MIRC,IRC,DALNET > Internet Relay Chat
|
|
